Summer 2014 is here! LET'S PARTY!
Well, we made it thru another Bonnaroo Music Festival. Next year will be 10 years at the event!!! Thanks to everyone that came by and picked up some posters and possibly had a cold drink with me and the API crew. It's always nice to see the friendly dusty, sweaty faces. You guys RULE.
I was super stoked to get to do the cover for the 25th anniversary issue of the Nashville Scene. Who doesn't love a party eagle!?
Lot's of new posters filling up the schedule thru the rest of the year too so keep an eye out. Like I said my Instagram is pretty helpful for that.
Outside of posters I've been busy branding the Porter Flea Summer Market. That was so much fun. Thanks to all who came out and picked up some stuff from me and all the amazing vendors.
And last but not least hot off the presses are the FREE SOLANGE shirts I unveiled at Bonnaroo last month. I've had many requests for these so get em while you can. #FREESOLANGE
They're available in my Etsy store which, by the way, is my daughter's project who runs it entirely herself and earns her a wage to pay for whatever 16 year olds need, like cars and gas and insurance and stuff so thank you in advance! I'll need all the help I can get.
So GIDDY UP on over to Etsy!
OK Another one last thing... I'll be headed to Forecastle Festival for another installment of the American Poster Institute poster show. So if you're in Louisville, KY July 18-20th c'mon by and say hello!
And after that I'll be headed to Outside Lands in San Francisco for another poster show out in the middle of beautiful Golden Gate Park.
So see you out in the field this summer!
Well, I guess that covers the most of it. As always, thank you for the continued support and kind words. It means a lot.
HAPPY NEW YEAR 2014!!!!!!
Well, we made it another year. THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU to all my amazing clients and anyone who bought a poster or even simply sent me an email to say hello. I feel so humbled and honored to do what I do and connect with so many amazing people all year all around the world. I can't wait to see what this new year brings, let's all work together to make it great.
I guess we can start with my opportunity to get to do two different Bassnectar posters for his super spectacular New Years Eve show for the third year in a row at The Bridgestone Arena in my hometown of Nashville, TN. There's the VIP package one then the official NYE14 one that was given to him and his crew as a gift. Both have not been previously available to the public. Quantities are limited so get em while you can. I'll also have a few available at some of my road shows this summer.
Hey guys, I'm headed to Germany again for the Reeperbahn Festival in Hamburg and Colored Gigs 5 in Dresden to do that poster art show thing I do. I'll be back early October but if you need me feel free to email, I'll do my best to reply as soon as possible. Also, if you have placed and order in the last couple days or do between now and October 10th please be patient and i'll get them out as soon as I return.
Until then I'll raise an Astra in your general direction. Cheers!
Howdy All! I'm back! For a second...
Sorry for the delay and lack of updates folks. I've been traveling all over the place and finally getting a chance to update the site and post some new work, posters at least. A handful of new logos and merch to put up but they'll have to wait.
Special thanks and hellos to all the awesome folks that came by my shows at Forecastle Fest in Louisville, Pitchfork in Chicago and Outside Lands in San Francisco. I'm back for a minute before Copenhagen, Hamburg and Dresden for a series of shows that I'lll fill you in on later.
Anyhow, I just added new posters for Alabama Shakes, Portugal, The Man, Rancid, Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, Twin Shadow and Bruno Mars as well as a couple art prints in the Illustration section. So go check em out and enjoy!
Hey guys, it's that time again. My API family and I will be setting up shop down on the farm in Manchester, TN for the next week for some poster sellin', music listening and general mayhem. Our little fancy blurb from the site below.
A lot of us will be bringing limited quantities of rare and sold out stuff for The Black Keys, Phish and DMB to name a few, so if you're interested just ask one of the ugly dudes or pretty girls that will be in the booth since they might not be on display.
Ok, it's about time to pack up the truck and pick up some goons from the airport so if you're at the 'Roo Thursday thru Sunday, come by and say hello and let's have a humdinger!
*SHIPPING NOTE* All orders will be on hold until i get back middle of next week so please be understanding. You will be rewarded for your patience. I promise.
cheers guys, I love you.
MUSE Posters ONSALE 4/13 Noon CST
NEW POSTERS! Festival season is upon us!
Well guys, it's been a minute since I checked in so here's the update.
I'm back form my annual trip to rock and roll Mecca called SXSW in Austin, TX. To everyone that came by the booth and everyone I talked with about future projects, I'm really excited to move forward with them.
Also, while in Austin at our annual member meeting I officially took the reigns as president of The American Poster Institute. After serving on the board for over 7 years I'm honored to be asked to head up the organization that has created opportunities for hundreds of artists around the world, myself included. I will serve all 3500+ members of our organization to the best of my abilities and continue to try and develop and create opportunities for the API to grow and continue to be the gold standard level organization of gigposter creators, collectors and supporters. Many thanks to the board of directors and members for the overwhelming support. I am truly humbled.
Now back to business. A handful of new posters up today and a few more for MUSE on the 13th! I've been very fortunate to be a part of exclusive poster series for Muse and Luke Bryan on thier massive spring / summer tours. Also Nashville has had some phenominal local shows for such heavy hitters as The Gaslight Anthem, Pink, Alt-J, Local Natives and Animal Collective, all of which I was fortunate enough to get to do posters for. See them below.
Also I did some art print versions of some of these recent posters you can see below or purchase here.
I'll be releasing the limited quantities of MUSE posters I have on the 13th around noon. There are 3 different designs from the Toronto and Boston shows so stay tuned if you want to get in on the action!
Coming up next month I'll be showing my work at amazing The Primavera Sound Music Festival in Barcelona, Spain. If you're in the area please come by and say ¡Hola!
So until the 13th I bid you farewell for now. So go look at the new stuff, pick up a couple if you so desire then go outside and enjoy some spring weather!
