New Stuff! / Thanks Everybody! Fall Edition
Hey guys, sorry for the delay in posting. It's been a whirlwind of a summer with lots of traveling and lots of work and lots of fun. Thanks to everyone that has shared some of those adventures with me along the way.
New posters added for Father John Misty, Run The Jewels, Glass Animals, Chris Cornell, Kelly Clarkson, Jamie XX and Death Grips. Quantities are pretty low on several of these so if you're shoppping I wouldnt wait.
I hope everyone is headed into the fall with positivity and excitement for the future. Thanks again for all the love and support, I couldn't do this stuff without you.
Well I'm back from the first year of what I hope to be many at Sloss Music and Arts Festival. I had a blast hanging out and meeting everyone and I'm SO FLATTERED the poster sold out the first night!
I have posted the few Artist Proof copies I have left so hopefully if you missed out last weekend you can snag one here.
cheers and see you next year,
More new stuff and shows and stuff!
Hey guys, just a quick shout to let you know I posted three new posters. I just added prints for the hilarious Kevin Hart, the rockin' Sleater Kinney and poppy Walk The Moon folks. Just a heads up, I have limited quantities for all of them. Check em out!
On top of all that and some big tours posters I'm working on over the summer I've got exhibitions going on. The next one up is in Barcelona, Spain at The Primavera Sound Music festival
then right after that I've got Porter Flea in Nashville, TN. It's a great showing of some of the best makers of things carefully chosen to share and sell their handmade things from practical everyday items to some weird shit you never realized you had to have. I think I fall right in the middle of that.
Then right after THAT....I've got the Annual madness that is the API Poster tent at Bonnaroo. If you're on the farm in Manchester, TN come by for a cold drink and a chat with all the awesome poster artists I bring in to show their goods and talk about personal hygeine.
That's about it. I am working on setting up a show at the inaugural Sloss Fest in Birmingham, Alabama too. More on that later.
And as usual THANK YOU to everyone that sends a kind email or orders from the site, it means so much to get so much love and support from you guys. I couldn't do it without you, you're the best.
New Posters Added!
Well I just got back from another successful year at Flatstock / SXSW in Austin. Thanks to all that came out and picked up a poster or two and those who just said hello. It's always humbling to hear from people that are into what I do. I'm very fortunate to be doing what I'm doing and couldn't do it without you guys.
I just posted a bunch of stuff I've been working on these last couple of months. Posters for Sylvan Esso, Father John Misty, Eric Church, Parquet Courts, Cold War Kids and Drew Holcomb and The Neighbors to name a few.
Also I've added some art prints based off of some of the posters.
Check em out!
I'll be headed to Spain in May for an exhibition at Primavera Sound in Barcelona then right to Bonnaroo after that. See ya this summer!
New Posters and stuff!
Happy New Year everyone!
Also, i'm really proud of this album art for The Last Tycoon whom I've sorked with in the past. Always nice to get back together with clients who are super fun to work with and have great ideas and tunes.
A lot of stuff already in the works for 2015 so let's all have a good one, ok?
50/50 For Taylor
If you've been following me on Instagram you'll know I was asked to contribute to a project that auctioned off custom skateboards to raise money to build a skatepark for the kids of Taylor, Texas, a small town with a great community of kids looking for a place to call their own. It seems my contribution was very well received and raised a good amount of dough which means a lot considering this show featured pieces from superstars like Simpsons creator Matt Groening and REM fromtman Michael Stipe to skateboard icons like Tony Hawk, Jason Adams and Steve Caballero. Anyhow I thought I'd share some pics from the exhibitions and of my piece. Enjoy.
New Posters Added / Poster Tour is DONE!
Well, I made it through another tour cycle doing poster shows from Austin to Barcelona to San Francisco to Hamburg and several places all over the US. It was a blast but I am very excited to be home for a little while.
I will be doing the annual Porter Flea holiday market of course. I was more than pleased they asked me to do the branding once again. See you guys December 5th and 6th!New posters added for Mineral, Death From Above 1979 and Jenny Lewis too! Get your holiday shopping done early as these posters won't be around forever.
holiday cheers y'all,
Tom Petty and others added!
Well I made it back from Europe in mostly one piece and have been hard at work catching up on things. Thanks to all my supporters and clients for their patience as I traveled across Germany and neighboring countries doing some super fun shows.
I've added a few more posters for Tom Petty and The Heartbreakers (!!!) as well as The War On Drugs, Juicy J and three new ones for Skrillex. i dont have many of any of these new ones so get at me before they're gone.
Now that I'm back in town all orders will be shipped on the regular 10 or less working days schedule. Also, as always, if expedited shipping is needed for those last minute gifts feel free to contact me and I'll try to accomodate.
Besides posters I've got some awesome projects in the works I can't wait to share as well as my upcoming show at Fun Fun Fun Fest in Austin November 6th thru the 9th. Where I'll be showing my posters as well as part of Project Loop 50/50 where once again I'll be designing a skateboard graphic that will be auctioned off to raise money to build a skatepark for the kids of Taylor, Texas.
That's it for now so give me a holler if you need me, I'm around!
Headed to Europe!
Hey guys, I'm headed to Germany again for the Reeperbahn Festival in Hamburg and Colored Gigs 6 in Leipzig and Dresden to do that poster art show thing I do. I'll be back early October but if you need me feel free to email, I'll do my best to reply as soon as possible.
Also, all orders placed today, September 11th thru September 30th, please be patient and i'll get them out as soon as I return after the 1st of October.
Until then I'll raise an Astra in your general direction. Cheers!
Summer 2014 is here! LET'S PARTY!
Well, we made it thru another Bonnaroo Music Festival. Next year will be 10 years at the event!!! Thanks to everyone that came by and picked up some posters and possibly had a cold drink with me and the API crew. It's always nice to see the friendly dusty, sweaty faces. You guys RULE.
I was super stoked to get to do the cover for the 25th anniversary issue of the Nashville Scene. Who doesn't love a party eagle!?
Lot's of new posters filling up the schedule thru the rest of the year too so keep an eye out. Like I said my Instagram is pretty helpful for that.
Outside of posters I've been busy branding the Porter Flea Summer Market. That was so much fun. Thanks to all who came out and picked up some stuff from me and all the amazing vendors.
And last but not least hot off the presses are the FREE SOLANGE shirts I unveiled at Bonnaroo last month. I've had many requests for these so get em while you can. #FREESOLANGE
They're available in my Etsy store which, by the way, is my daughter's project who runs it entirely herself and earns her a wage to pay for whatever 16 year olds need, like cars and gas and insurance and stuff so thank you in advance! I'll need all the help I can get.
So GIDDY UP on over to Etsy!
OK Another one last thing... I'll be headed to Forecastle Festival for another installment of the American Poster Institute poster show. So if you're in Louisville, KY July 18-20th c'mon by and say hello!
And after that I'll be headed to Outside Lands in San Francisco for another poster show out in the middle of beautiful Golden Gate Park.
So see you out in the field this summer!
Well, I guess that covers the most of it. As always, thank you for the continued support and kind words. It means a lot.
